Greetings readers, if anyone is still out there. Well, where were we? Last week Sam and myself took a trip down to Vegas with the Henne's, minus the little ones. Good times were had. Rachel can give you the full rundown, but long story short we stayed an extra day in Nevada, I guess there was some snow in Minnesota or something. We are adjusting to life back home this week and have a sick kid on our hands for what seems like the fist time. As I right this Max is hanging out laying on the floor- his preferred sleeping spot when he is sick. Here are some pics from the last few weeks, enjoy. Maybe i'll put a song and clip of the week if you are lucky.

One restaraunt had a map of the US. I guess we are known for our farms and planes. And Iowa has a killer carnival I guess.
Weather held up nicely. Mid 50's wasn't amazing but it was supposed to rain 2-3 days and we didn't feel any rain.
Bunnies at the Bellagio. Probably my favorite Casino there. I thought that was the high roller spot until we saw $500 blackjack tables at the Wynn and 4 people gladly filling up spots there. The private sections had $1,000 slots too.

Me and T Bar at the Flamingo - I think. Most of the casino's are connected together and it all starts to feel like the same place. I had a little bit of that in downtown at Binions, the 4 queens, etc. Completely confused.

View from our first hotel - The Monte Carlo. Overall it was good but the water power in the shower was comparable to a firehose. I think I had a gallon of water on the floor after my first run.



View from our 2nd hotel at Treasure Island. Liked TI more. We had a better view and I didn't get any bruises from the shower.

Pirate show at TI, pretty good for a free show. I wanted to commend the pirates for taking a 20 ft swan dive into what had to be very chilly water. Through our booking we also got free tix to the beatles love - Cirque De Soleil. Highly recommend it if you are a fan of beatles tunes and people jumping around.





Couldn't find a good vegas vacation clip. More Nick Papagorgio People! Swingers will have to do.

Thought it was time for an update since it has been so long. Here is what is new since the last time we posted:

• Max turned 2
• Chad became a soccer player
• We put in new laminate flooring on our first floor
• Our new nephew, Martin, was born about a week ago
  

In between all that we have just been working, hanging, and running after Max. I know it does not seem very exciting, but it keeps us very busy (hence the lack of blogging over the past couple of months).

hello readers,

Do you remember us? Long time no blog. The Strehlo fam has been pretty busy the last couple weeks and I just haven't been in the blogging spirit. Luckily for you, I thought I would give it the old college try tonight. So what's new since we last talked? Let's see, the Pilots had our Tomten gig a few weeks back. In tomten tradition we got a steady drizzle all day. That didn't stop the rocking though. Unfortunately, our set was not so great, i'd say like 6/10 stars. We'll have to come back next year with a little more vigor and a new band name. I'll try to post some vids soon too.

Sam finished up her soccer season a little while ago, sounds like she is getting very Favre like on us. She said this was gonna be her last year but is now saying she'll be back next summer. I kinda got captivated by the world cup this year, enough that us boys might get a winter league going. Looking like a strong possibility. Not too much new with Max, he's getting bigger and crazier every day. We are just bracing ourselves for the terrible 2's coming next week. The big triathlon is next week as well. Just me and Jerry this year. Sara bowed out this year, some lame excuse like she's pregnant or something. I think that is about all we have. Should be another busy week this week. Sam has the "Wicked" play on Tuesday, family state fair trip on Wed. and the Twinks on Thursday. Plus the tri and a b day party Sat. If you are lucky you will get a post this weekend as well. Alright, on to the pics!
